We celebrate 8
Holy Day rituals each year:
Yule
(Winter Solstice)
Imbolc
Ostara
(Vernal Equinox)
Beltane
(May Day)
Litha
(Summer Solstice)
First Harvest
(Lughnasadh or Lammas)
Harvest Home (Mabon or Autumnal Equinox)
Samhain
Other
celebrations such as Full Moon circles, special healing rituals, drumming
circles, and so on may be held throughout the year as well.
Our
"style" of celebration is very spontaneous! We do not feel there is one
"right way" or "wrong way" of honoring and communing with the Divine. Feel
free to sing, to dance, to vocalize. Contribute the energy of your body to
the Circle. Please join our songs, even if you feel you sing off-key, or
get the words wrong. These activities build energy toward the purpose of
each ritual.
Our
celebrations are open to all interested adults age 18 and older. Teens are
welcome if accompanied by a parent. Because it is important to educate our
younger ones in the ways of the Goddess, as well as appropriate Circle etiquette, our Lesser Sabbat celebrations (Yule,
Ostara, Summer Solstice, and Harvest Home) are open to babes in arms and
children aged 7 and older. Please note that parents are responsible for
controlling their children during ritual, in order to maintain the integrity of
Sacred Space for all participants. If children are creating a disturbance,
you will be asked to excuse yourself from the Circle. Childcare services
are not available at this time.
Pets
are not allowed. Service animals, however, are welcome.
All celebrations are held at the Sacred Earth Grove, unless otherwise stated.
Please
e-mail for directions. Ritual is held outside, weather
permitting, and outdoor rituals are handicapped-accessible. An indoor space is available if needed;
however, there are no handicapped ramps for wheelchairs. There are 6 porch
steps and handrails, which might be navigated with assistance depending on your
circumstance.
Ritual garments are not required for participation, but we encourage you to wear
something that makes you feel powerful! However, please note that ours is
not a skyclad tradition.
We
require that cell phones be turned off during ritual, and we do not permit
photographs to be taken on the premises.
See the
Calendar of Upcoming Events
for our next scheduled celebration.
